TIP - To zoom in on an object, first click directly on the object in the viewer image to center the object, and then use the zoom control.

There is no default view for the South Padre Surf cam since visitors can use the pan, tilt and zoom functions. When no one has control of the cam it enters Auto-Patrol mode and moves from one preset location to another. Camera control time is given in 4 minute sessions, and viewers can extend viewing time if no one is waiting for control.
